Dear 2TheHeart family,
Recently my son, Noah, entered an essay contest on thankfulness, in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. It was such a memorable experience and really showed me what amazing, wise kids we have in the world today! I am working on a story about this experience, but also would like to host an impromptu 2TheHeart Thankfulness Contest for our kids (and grandkids!)! I know it's short notice, but it shouldn't take much time, so if your kids are interested, below are the details. Our Thankfulness issue will go out Wednesday night and the deadline for the kids' letters is Tuesday night.
-Essays can be as long as your child would like, but must be at least one paragraph, about what your child is thankful for. Any subject is acceptable. You may help your kids TYPE the essays, but it must be in their own words. (Don't worry about editing - we don't expect our kids to write perfectly!)
-Please include your child's full name, age and mailing address at the BOTTOM of their essay. I will not publish this info, only their first name and last initial, but each child who participates will receive a certificate of recognition, so I need their mailing info.
-We will have three winners of the essay contest. Each winner will receive a 2TheHeart T-shirt and magnet! I will contact the winners for their sizes.
-The contest is open to anyone under the age of 18. Good luck!
Send your entries to me at firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line THANKFULNESS, no later than this Tuesday at midnight!
Blessings, Susan Farr-Fahncke
